The St. Louis area was, at one point in time, the center of the professional wrestling world. Lou Thesz, Dick “The Bruiser”, Baron Von Raschke, Jerry Brisco, Pat O’Connor, Dick Murdoch, Harley Race, “King Kong” (Bruiser) Brody, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, and countless others made their way through the area. Some of those men captured the ultimate prize at the time: the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
It can be argued that since 1983 the St. Louis pro wrestling scene has been on a decline. Some years, that decline was gradual. In others, there were steep drops in the quality of wrestling events and the companies that offered them. High Voltage Wrestling looks to reverse this trend with its own unique brand of professional wrestling entertainment.
This brand of action-packed fun is family-friendly and high impact. Some of the biggest names in wrestling will make their way through St. Louis and High Voltage Wrestling, but HVW is here to ensure that the future of the sport passes through the area, as well.
HVW’s first show in the St. Louis area was on October 10, 2008 in Granite City, IL and the company has been gaining momentum ever since. Local talent has been showcased, such as “The Future” Donovan Ruddick, Brandon Espinosa, Gary Jay, Mark Sterling and Jeremy Wyatt, but international stars have been showcased, as well. Names like “Big” Rick Fuller and Kahagas continue to be driving forces behind High Voltage Wrestling.
HVW’s founder, the man known as “TNT” Keny G, personally invites you to come out and enjoy the next High Voltage Wrestling show!
